Your Vote Decides Who Wins The Seen’s Artist Spotlight at RVA Music Fest On October 11th at Dogwood Dell!

Voting Opens September 16 - 20

The Richmond Seen is selecting one local artist to receive the ultimate spotlight package at RVA Music Fest.

We’re giving away:
- A feature set at RVA Music Fest (Oct 11 at Dogwood Dell)
- A 4-hour studio session at MOSS Studios
- A day-of photoshoot
- A full performance video
- An interview feature in The Richmond Seen newspaper

It’s all going down tournament-style.
We’ll narrow it down to 8 local artists, and then it’s your turn to decide who takes the stage.

Voting runs Sept 16–20.
Nominations open Sept 12.
Each day, you’ll vote on a new head-to-head matchup.

One vote per day. One artist gets it all.

Voting Opens Sept. 16 - 20

1. Nominations (Open Now – Sept. 12)

  • Anyone can nominate an artist by dropping their name + Instagram handle in the comments of our nomination post or tagging @therichmondseen in an Instagram Story with the artist’s info.

  • Artists must be Virginia-based, have original music available, and be available to perform live on Oct. 11.

2. Selection

  • The top 8 most-nominated artists will advance to the next round.

3. Voting (Sept. 16–20)

  • Artists will face off in a bracket-style, head-to-head vote hosted on therichmondseen.com.

  • Each day, subscribers can cast one vote per matchup. The artist with the most votes in each round moves forward until one final winner is chosen.

  • Voting is free.
